Lia Obata Dowd

    Lia is an associate with the firm and represents clients in products liability, medical malpractice and other professional liability cases.  Ms. Dowd also handles probate administration and estate planning.

    Lia is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Linguistics in 2002.  Lia graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2008.  While in law school Lia was invited to become a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors fraternity and was a student mentor to incoming first year students.  Lia was also an active member of the Women’s Law Association where she was elected a Section Senator and served as a chair on a number of committees for the yearly silent auction which raised money for local San Antonio charities.

    During law school, Lia was a summer intern for the Circuit Attorney’s office in the City of St. Louis where she second chaired criminal trials, assisted with depositions, trial preparation, and drafted motions and legal memoranda.
